“Love Yourself” is an empowering anthem ;with lyrics like “I’m beautiful. I’m worthy. And those mean words can’t hurt me.” With over 1.3 million views on YouTube, it’s clear that the song and music video are inspiring people all over the world. ;

“I hope this song and video empowers children who have been abused, bullied, and belittled, to build up their confidence, embrace who they are, and love themselves unconditionally,” Toure writes in the video description.

The dad notes that he especially hopes his song can help kids with special needs, who are frequently the targets of bullying. Toure invited kids with disabilities like autism, Down syndrome, dyslexia, PTSD, hearing impairment and ADHD to appear in the music video with him.

“I saw how the bullying had a negative [effect] on my daughter,” he adds in the video description. “As a result, I decided to create a song about the importance of self-love: an anthem with positive affirmations that children could recite daily, reminding themselves that they are beautiful, worthy, priceless, and brilliant.”

Right on!
