Personal finance site GOBankingRates recently asked Americans to share their biggest money-related deal breakers when it comes to love. Check out the results of their 5,000-person poll below:

All kidding aside, recent scientific research has suggested that financial infidelity and arguing about money is more harmful to a marriage than many realize.
In 2013, researchers out of Kansas State University found that couples who argued about money early on in their relationships — regardless of their income, debt or net worth — were at a greater risk for divorce than others.
“Arguments about money is by far the top predictor of divorce,” the study’s lead researcher, Sonya Britt, said of the findings. “It’s not children, sex, in-laws or anything else. It’s money — for both men and women.”
So in a sense, The Beatles were right: Money can’t buy you love — but it can buy you hours and hours of intensive couples therapy when you find out about your spouse’s secret credit card purchases.
