Even Fat Albert wants Bill Cosby to come clean. At least according to street artist FLOOD, who has been publicly urging the comedian to respond to the dozens of allegations of sexual assault lodged against him. Two more women, Sunni Welles and Margie Shapiro, came forward last week, claiming to have been drugged and assaulted by Cosby as teenagers. They join the group of over 35 women accusing Cosby of sexual crimes, while the 77-year-old actor continues to deny all accusations. THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING!
Enter FLOOD, a street artist who has been turning Cosby’s own characters against him, from Fat Albert to Mushmouth. Serving as a type of public conscience, the characters sternly implore Cosby to come forward and address the allegations. The characters hold signs reading “Hey, Hey, Hey, Bill, Just Admit It” and “The Proof Is In The Pudding” — making the message pretty obvious.
FLOOD isn’t the first artist to attempt to take down Cosby through his work. The 15-year-old sculptor Rodman Edwards proposed a very creepy bronze statue called “Fat Albert Cries for Dr. Huxtable,” depicting a nude Cosby with a smaller nude Cosby covering his genitals.
Take a look at FLOOD’s public appeal for truth below, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
