Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said U.S. allies abroad are “definitely worried” about the idea of Donald Trump being president of the United States.

“People really ask, ‘What is going on?'” Albright told CNN on Wednesday, reflecting on a trip she just took to the Middle East.

“Whenever anything is said by Donald Trump, it is scary, I think, in terms of what he thinks he’s going to do or (his) lack of understanding,” Albright added.

Albright said she’s “embarrassed” by the immature rhetoric of the candidates in the Republican presidential primary.

“It all sounds kind of like children in a school yard calling each other names,” Albright said. “We have examples of the kind of discussion that is in the gutter, and it’s really embarrassing.”

Albright has campaigned for Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton in the last month. She received criticism after a campaign stop in February where she repeated her famous line that “there’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other,” with many arguing she was pressuring women to vote for Clinton solely based on gender.
