Dodging his lengthy record of domestic abuse ;once again, Floyd Mayweather responded to Ronda Rousey’s recent diss of the boxer by simply bypassing it altogether.

At last month’s ESPY Awards, Rousey earned the Best Fighter award, however, she truly won the night for calling out Mayweather on his charges of abuse. It’s an appalling record, to which many others in the sports world have turned a blind eye.

“I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once,” Rousey said. “I’d like for him to pretend to not know who I am now.” ;

When asked about the comment, Mayweather, as per usual, dismissed the controversy, instead turning the conversation to purse money. ;

“I just say that, you know, I’ve yet to see any MMA fighter or other boxer make over $300 million in 36 minutes. When she can do that, then call me,” Mayweather said in an interview with ESPN’s SportsCenter that aired Thursday.

It seems Rousey (who only needs 34-seconds, thanks very much, to take down her opponents) is certainly on Mayweather’s radar now. The boxer congratulated her on the ESPY win, albeit without much humility:

“You know awhile back, I never knew who Ronda Rousey was. So I’m pretty sure she got upset. I want to say congratulations to Ronda Rousey and the UFC, you guys have done a tremendous job. And I’ve won probably six or seven ESPYs for [Best Fighter], and I truly believe she deserves it. Congratulations to Ronda Rousey.”

Class act.
