His energetic and unwavering devotion to his family and to his work while fighting the battle of his life left us in awe, and he leaves a void that can never be replaced.”
Shortly after announcing his passing on Sunday morning, ESPN showed its respect for Scott’s inimitable style and appreciation for his lasting legacy with a poignant video. The moving tribute included some of Scott’s signature exclamations and commentary by many of his admiring peers.
“He didn’t push the envelope, he bulldozed it,” former ESPN anchor Dan Patrick said.
