Bolt won the gold in 9.79 seconds, followed by Gatlin’s 9.80. Bolt defended his world title ;from Moscow in 2013 in the same stadium, the Bird’s Nest, where he captured Olympic glory in 2008, winning both the 100 and 200 meters in record time. He won both events at the 2012 Olympics as well.
