Allan was commissioned by education website ;SparkNotes ;to create the illustrations. ; ;

Allan said that she creates ;body-positive art to combat the shame so many women feel about their bodies.

“A lot of women feel that they won’t be worthy as a person until they ‘lose the weight,'” she said. “But in reality, those women already gorgeous! You don’t need qualifiers to be a sexy woman, you are already there.”
