These three siblings are proving just how much black kids really rock.

Lauren and Ashleigh, who are both gifted violinists, and Christian, an accomplished cellist, are on a mission to use their love of music to help New York City’s homeless population. ;Last week, the three performed in a subway station in Manhattan to raise money for the city’s less fortunate.

Lauren, 11, Ashleigh, 10, and Christian Conner, 9, are three tremendously talented musicians who have been honing their craft since they were toddlers, according to ;People.

After the Conner family moved from New Jersey to Manhattan last year, the children noticed homeless people on the streets and would ask if they could give them money, said their mom Zenobia Conner.

“I saw [the homeless people] on the street and I felt sad for them,” Christian told People.

Christian said, he asked his mom if there was a way he could do something to help. “If you want to give some money to the homeless, then go out there and play your cello,” his mom said to him, according to People. ;

The siblings took their mom’s advice. They put their incredible skills to use by setting up their sheet music and instruments in the Fulton Street subway station to perform classical music in the hopes of raising money for their cause. ;

The trio played tunes from the likes of Bach, Beethoven and Karl Jenkins for two hours. In one session they were able to raise more than $240 — and about $500 total raised, so far — which they plan to give a portion of their earnings to the homeless after they reach a large enough sum, according to People. ;

Despite having to go back to school, the kid musicians still plan to play music ;in subway stations on the weekends so that their philanthropy efforts for those in need will continue. ;

These amazing kids definitely deserve a standing ovation! ;
