Scott’s kids visited the mural ahead of Wednesday’s ESPY Awards in LA. At the same ceremony in 2014, their ailing father famously said, “When you die, it doesn’t mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and the manner in which you live.”
Scott died in January at age 49 after a long fight against the disease.
Artist Jonas Never created the mural, which appeared on TV as part of a memorial for Scott during the NBA Finals.
