Jeannie Mai has broken her silence regarding her pending divorce with Jeezy. Over the last 48 hours, through social media posts and recent interviews, the new mother shares how she copes with relationship changes while maintaining her overall peace and stability.

Jeannie says her daughter, Monaco, is a loving part of her positive attitude.

On October 12, she spoke separately with Entertainment Tonight and The Sherri Show about the impact of the separation. The interviews aired less than 24 hours after she posted a message on “healing” and “disconnecting,” seemingly relating to her divorce.

While taking questions about her new game show Raid The Cage, which premieres on Friday, October 13, her love life was at the top of audiences’ minds. It’s been that way for some time.

A month ago, TMZ broke divorce news after obtaining documents that Atlanta-based rapper Jeezy filed just two years after he and Jeannie wed. In the legal paperwork, Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, stated their relationship was “irretrievably broken” with “no hope of reconciliation.” He also requested joint custody of their daughter. 

Since then, Jeannie and Jeezy’s relationship has been a topic of gossip rags, GroupMe chats, thought pieces, and podcast sessions. Internet investigators found and posted old videos of the couple making individual statements, and the same e-detectives shared memes and jokes. 

Rumors have spread across the internet surrounding Jeannie’s desire to work on the relationship, Jeezy’s living arrangements, and possible issues with Jeannie’s immediate parents. Yet, amid the gossip flurry, the couple hadn’t directly addressed their status.

Jeannie Mai breaks her silence, takes everything day by day.

Jeannie’s recent social media posts and interviews marked her first public commentary. Speaking to Sherri, the 44-year-old appeared emotional yet resolved and hopeful. 

When asked how she was, Jeannie told Sherri’s audience, “You know I’m not going to lie. It takes every day to just sit and be quiet in your thoughts and take care of me. But one thing I know is that if you give God your pain, He will give you his power. Period. So every day, I’m like, here you go. Do you have room for more?”

Jeannie also shared that she “turned off every single device” when Jeezy filed to maintain her peace and “her truth.” 

During the interview, Sherri asked Jeannie about her daughter Monaco.

Jeannie sighed, smiled, and stated, “You know Monaco, that is my north star. And I can definitely tell you that I don’t know if I could handle this the same way without her because today, I am able to look at her, and I can say, what would I advise you if you were in my shoes and it changes everything. So, I am so thankful to be a mom. And I’m thankful to have her.”

Jeezy has yet to officially comment on the divorce filings.

The Renaissance World Tour may have ended, but the style and fashion remain with a new drop of Beyoncé’s IVY PARK X Adidas collection. To be released on October 12, the release marks the last collaboration between Blue Ivy’s mother and the sportswear brand.

Whether you are a fashion lover or a member of the Bey Hive, Sis, you should get your coins ready now. And set your clocks early for a chance to secure a piece.

The highly anticipated closing collection is called IVY PARK NOIR. A “celebration of movement and materiality,” the capsule is all-black to amplify human form, shape, and silhouette and epitomizes “power, freedom, and individuality.”

Like other drops, the capsule has multiple sportswear and lifestyle options. Featured items include multi-wear jackets, 3-D knit sweat suits, and the IVY PARK signature jersey.

Garments are crafted in embossed leather, mesh, spandex, velvet, and latex fabrics and offered in black colorways of noir and vantablack. Size ranges are XXS – 3XL, and the price is between $ 40 and $ 350.

The final IVY PARK x Adidas collection was spotted on the Renaissance stage.

Known to wear IVY PARK throughout her world tour, Beyoncé premiered the last collection at her final tour stop in Kansas City. Pictures from the night show the entertainment mogul rocking a shimmering black leotard, leather jacket, and thigh high boots.

Beyoncé took to social media shortly after the closing performance to share more pics of the line.  Combining tour snaps and model previews, she delighted and excited fans for the final fashion chapter.

The Bey Hive leader wrote, “Felt great to design and wear the final IVY PARK drop (with adidas👀💃🏾🕺🏾🪩) on the final show of the RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR. The Blackout. IVY PARK NOIR dropping Oct 12.”

News broke of the Adidas x Beyoncé split in March. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ending was “mutual.” The celebrity outlet also reported Beyoncé looks forward to “reclaiming her brand, charting her own path and maintaining creative freedom. IVY PARK first launched in 2018.

Gabrielle Union is loving motherhood, and at 50 years old, she feels like she timed it just right.

In a recent Instagram post, the Bring It On alum got candid about why becoming a mother later in life was the perfect decision for her. For the actress, the timing allowed her to “heal past traumas” and not pass anything traumatic onto her child.

“People always ask, ‘Is it worth it? Having kids later in life? There’s a lot that goes into that answer,” Union said in the video. “But in a nutshell: hell yeah, it’s been worth it.”

The mother of 4-year-old Kaavia also said that having her child when she did “changed my life in so many wondrous ways that it does make me wish I had done it earlier, just so I have even more time with Kaav. I even have more time as a mom.” She also explained that her choice to become a mother at that time was perfect timing for her, simply because that was the time that she was fully healed.

“I had committed to healing eternally, so I didn’t pass all that generational trauma onto Kaav,” she continued in the social media video. “And had I been a day younger, even, certainly 10, 15, 20 years before, I would have passed along way too many traumatic things to my child.”

And it looks like she’s got this motherhood thing down because she frequently opens up about how she tries to be the best mom possible while making sure her daughter always feels confident in any situation. In doing so, she often shares photos and videos of her life with her daughter, including this adorable video where she and Kaavia indulge in self care and talk about the importance of giving love.

 

In addition to her daughter Kaavia, whom Union and her husband Dwyane Wade welcomed via surrogate in 2018, the beauty is also a bonus mom to Wade’s other children from previous relationships – Zaire, 21, Zaya, 16, and Xavier, 9.

Michael B. Jordan spottings are rare these days. We haven’t seen much of the actor-turned-director since his breakup with Lori Harvey, which was followed by his Creed III co-star Jonathan Majors facing domestic violence allegations. It put a hard stop on promotion for the film at the height of its success. MBJ was recently spotted at the preseason game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. But it’s his interaction with Steve Harvey, Lori Harvey’s stepfather, that is going viral.

The last time we saw MBJ courtside, he looked like he was a Lori Harvey thought away from shedding a tear. This time around, he seemed to be full of laughter as he greeted Harvey with a giant hug. A year after breaking up with Lori, Michael B. Jordan and Steve Harvey looked genuinely excited to see each other.

It didn’t take long for Twitter to chime in on Michael B. Jordan and Steve Harvey’s reunion.

Unfortunately, MBJ and Lori didn’t work out, and Harvey reiterated he is always #teamLori.

The 25-year-old viral star hit the red carpet of the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards red carpet without her glasses, which is significant because the risqué rapper proudly rocks her frames.

“People be scared to wear they glasses, but me, baby I’m blind and I need my glasses. So, I’mma wear them and I’mma rock these thangs,” she said in an interview with Montreality.

The pressure Kelly’ Kelendria’ Roland has been putting on the girlies this fashion month has been unmatched. From her old-school Hollywood glamour look during New York Fashion Week to her recent chic couture stunner at Paris Fashion Week, we can hardly keep up with the constant slay from the Houston native.

Kelly has shown herself to be a fashion and style chameleon – from head to toe. And her most recent transformation has everyone talking.

The former “Destiny’s Child” artist nearly broke the Internet with her newest jaw-dropping look. She posted a carousel of images on Instagram on October 10. And 16 million followers are in awe.

So are we.

Kelly’s newest style switches up previous aesthetics worn this fashion season. She premiered the look during a Rahul Mishra show. The Indian designer created her ensemble.

Instead of a short bob or flowing tresses, Kelly opted for a short pixie cut. And instead of a glam or a sophisticated monochromatic look, the songstress chose a bold, avant-garde piece. Crafted with a sculpted white and silver flower bodice and dark sequin bottom, the garment was perfect for the “Motivation” artist.

Kelly topped off her pixie and custom look with cool, black shades.

Is Kelly’s cut and couture a nod to the past or a prelude to a [reunion] future?

Kelly captioned her “haute” look on social media with a nod to the former girl group. Writing, “It’s giving, ‘You be sayin’ no no, no, no, no, no,’” she reminded us of one of the first times we saw her in a pixie cut in the “Destiny’s Child’s” 1998 music video.

Fans, friends, and celebrities took to Kelly’s comment section, loving her style switch-up and nostalgic note. But, is the songstress – and her fellow group members – trying to tell fans something? Even former “Destiny’s Child” member LaTavia Richardson (@iamlatavia) wrote under the stylish carousel, “I love the short look on you K better take me back 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷.”

Further, in announcing her newest project, The Renaissance World Tour Concert Film, Beyoncé wrote, “‘Be careful what you ask for, ’cause I might comply.’” Was she also alluding to the highly fan-requested “Destiny’s Child” reunion tour?

While we still don’t know whether a “Destiny’s Child” reunion is upcoming, we know that Kelly ‘bodied every lewk this fashion season. And her recent look is no different. It’s giving, “Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.”

But, we don’t mind singing “No, No, No” along with Part 1 of this “Destiny’s Child” music video.

Ari Lennox is definitely one of our favorite fashionistas. Not only is she always applying pressure in every look she rocks, she knows how to serve face and body in the process. And over the weekend, the beauty once again posed fashionably for Instagram in a look that left us speechless!

Taking to the platform, the starlet looked elegant in her sparkly, curve hugging gown. The silver gown featured a mock neck and was sleeveless, allowing Ari to show off her toned arms. The dress fit the Pressure songstress like a glove, and featured dramatic red feathers at the hem which billowed out into a long train.

Ari accessorized the look with minimal jewelry and dramatic makeup, rocking bright red lipstick on her lips to match the dress’s red accent. As for her hair, the melanated queen rocked a slicked back, curly, half up, half down style. She then posed on a staircase where she was able to show off the stunning look in its entirety.

Your Sunday nights just got a little more scandalous as The Real Housewives of Potomac returns to Bravo. Premiering on November 5, the new season marks the eighth of the show highlighting high society in the Washington, D.C. area.

Bravo dropped a new trailer on September 28, giving fans a taste of what is upcoming. Spoiler Alert: There’s a new housewife in the mix. And she is coming in hot!

The new Real Housewives of Potomac teaser opens up, mimicking the beginning of a ’90s sitcom. Channeling Family Matters, Living Single, and The Cosby Show, the cinematography and screen script give nostalgia. The “name” of the sitcom is Potomac Proper.

The castmates are circled at the film’s beginning, toasting the new series. Ashley Darby leads the toast. “We are all Black women, and we are all going through our different things in our lives,” she says. “And we’re going to embrace that. We’re going to keep Potomac weird, OK?”

The following clips show the glamorous group attending a drag show, lounging at a rooftop pool, holding fabulous backyard soirées, and having shady, salacious exchanges. All Real Housewives of Potomac Season 7 favorites are back, including Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Candiace Dillard, Robyn Dixon, Wendy Osefo, Mia Thornton, and Ashley Darby. And according to the teaser, Bravo watchers can expect mountains of tears, heated arguments, tense moments, relationship battles, and stand-out style from all housewives.

So, who is the new housewife on the “Capitol” block?

Nneka Ihim, whom the ladies call the “new Grande Dame of Potomac” in the teaser video, has officially entered the chat.  According to Bravo, Nneka is a Nigerian American from Wisconsin. She lives in the Potomac with her husband, Dr. Ikenna Ihim, and is a practicing lawyer.

Nneka’s Bravo profile says she works as counsel for a tech company, has started a beverage company, and is working on a dating app. Nneka also seemingly comes from money. “My daddy is a rich b—h, and he made sure his daughter was a rich b—h, too,” she states emphatically in the teaser clips.

Megan Thee Stallion is not just a Savage; she’s human. And Megan goes through the same mental health struggles that we all do.

She dropped a new PSA today, September 26, to share a little of her story.  The PSA is titled “Check In On Your Friends.”

Known to be the hot girl motivator, Megan gets personal in the mental health piece. Standing in a grey room, the Houston native wears a simple black tank and fitting dark wash jeans.

“I’ve always been told I got to be strong; thick skin, stiff upper lip, tough as nails,” she says shaking bronze curls. “But to be everything for everybody, it wears on you. ‘Black don’t crack,’ they say, but it can. I can. We all can.”  Later in the video, the “BONGOS” star says that being vulnerable “can make us whole.”

The PSA is part of the Seize the Awkward campaign from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the Jed Foundation, and the Ad Council. The video is one of multiple that aim to promote mental health and awareness among young adults and spur conversations among peers.

Subsequent videos in the series, also staring the 28-year-old, delve deeper into actions that young adults can do to address their challenges or talk to others. With about 76% of young adults turning to their peers for support, the PSA’s mission and topic correlate with current needs of America’s youth.

The new PSAs are not the first time Megan, who recently shared the stage with Beyoncé during the Houston stop of her Renaissance tour, has been transparent about mental health. Her song “Anxiety” helped many fans dealing with their own challenges. And in September 2022, Megan launched a website with free mental health resources.

Usher has a big announcement – and we’re here for it!

On Sunday, September 24, the singer announced that he will headline the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show! The 44 year old entertainer confirmed the news via a series of social media promo posts in collaboration with Apple Music and Roc Nation. In the video, Usher gets an urgent call from some of his famous friends – including a future version of himself – who give the musician the news about his big headlining spot. The skit is a play on his 2004 single, “Confessions” where he receives a phone call while in the studio before jumping into the iconic tune.

In a statement about the news, Usher called the upcoming performance an “honor of a lifetime,” sharing that he “can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before.”

 

He continued by thanking the fans and “everyone who made this opportunity happen,” before closing the statement with “I’ll see you real soon.”

This year will mark the fifth year that Roc Nation has teamed up with the NFL to produce the Halftime Show, and to celebrate the news, owner Jay Z made his own statement about Usher hitting the stage at the big game. The rapper called Usher the “ultimate artist and showman,” explaining that he’s “charted his own unique course since his debut at the age of 15.”

He continued by giving Usher his well-deserved flowers, explaining that he “bares his soul,” during his performances.
