Once again, FLOTUS is doing it for the babies.

First Lady Michelle Obama made surprise visits to Watkins Elementary School and John Burroughs Elementary School in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 26, and the students were in complete disbelief.

As soon as Obama walked into the classroom, the little girls and boys couldn’t contain their excitement as they squirmed in their seats with glee. One little boy ran to give her the warmest hug ever as soon as she walked in the door.

Just look at how happy these kids are in the video below.

Obama’s visit was a part of her “Let’s Move!” initiative to encourage kids to plant their own gardens. The First Lady talked to the students about the benefits of gardening, eating fresh fruits and vegetables, and she helped them prepare some nutritious tacos, too. Plus, she showed the kids that she wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty when she sat down with the kids to separate worms from the garden’s compost.

“It’s really me,” she told the students who were still in disbelief. “I can’t believe I’m sitting here digging out worms with you guys.”

“Since we planted our White House Kitchen Garden and created our ‘Let’s Move!’ initiative to help kids grow up healthy, I’ve heard from people across the country who’ve been inspired to grow their own gardens and change how they think about the food they eat,” Obama told Today on Thursday. “And in my final year as first lady, I plan to get out and visit some of these folks.”

And she’s staying true to her word. After visiting the schools, the First Lady also popped up on a couple and their garden in a D.C., neighborhood. Obama said she is excited about visiting gardens across the country throughout the year.

“I’m so excited to tell their stories and thank them for the amazing work they’re doing,” she told TODAY about the gardeners. “And that starts today!”

Way to go, FLOTUS!
