He has since been sidelined indefinitely. And on Tuesday, ;ESPN reported that even ;more parts of Jason Pierre-Paul’s right hand are missing ;than previously thought.

Suffice it to say, officials within the New York Giants organization are pessimistic about his prognosis right now. If the Giants aren’t satisfied with how his hand has healed when they check-in on him in another five to six weeks, they’ll reportedly consider revoking his ;$14.81 million franchise tender. ;

Pierre-Paul isn’t feeling so downtrodden. The defensive end ;responded to Tuesday’s ESPN report with an encouraging Instagram video, in which you can get a glimpse of his lightly bandaged and presumably stitched-up hand.

“God can turn any situation around for the better,” he wrote in the caption. “Your hard times will lead to the best times of your life. Don’t believe the hype … Be back soon!”

Time’s a wastin’, Jason. ;
