Every year I am thankful to be able to say I do what I love for a living. The moment I publish an article and see you all reading it never gets old. Raise your hand if 2024 took you on an emotional rollercoaster. As a mom of two, who works full-time, I fully neglected self-care this year, but I’m thankful for the times my village held me up. Black womanhood is all about sisterhood and that’s what I want you to feel when you log on to HelloBeautiful. I am thankful to know exactly what not to do next year. So queen, from Black woman to Black woman, thank you for being you.

Thanksgiving hits different this year – but here we are. We’ve going through so much in the time since the last holiday season and I remain incredibly thankful for and in awe of the brilliance, resilience, and creativity that Black women bring to the world. From the designers who push boundaries and the style icons who inspire us to the history making politicians, actresses, creators, and beauty brand owners, who despite everything are doing the dang thing with boldness, style, and grace. This season, we celebrate not just the trends and events but the trailblazers who made them all a viral moment. Thank you for turning every runway, stage, social media platform, red carpet, and sidewalk into a statement of power and beauty.

I’m thankful for my family and loved ones. My family has endured a lot of loss in the past few years so I’m cherishing them more and more as the years go by.
