It’s been six years since Radio One first launched the annual Blitz Showcase, which provides record label executives a platform to advertise their artist roster to the Radio One programming team, industry influencers, and fellow entertainers.

The invite-only event hit Stage 48 in NYC last night, bringing out emerging talent like Desiigner, Guordan Banks, Major, Mila J, Stix, Blushhh Music, and more. With Ciroc and Tanqueray flowing on all three floors of Stage 48’s dim-lit venue, artists networked and shared their music with insiders across radio, TV, and digital.

“It’s always exciting to provide a platform for new content,” Jay Stevens, SVP of Programming, told the audience.

“Our audience and our advertisers come to us for coverage of emerging trends in news, culture, and entertainment. The Blitz is just another way for us to spark interest and conversation,” Detavio Samuels, President of One Solution, added.

R&B veteran Lloyd was one of the first celebs to arrive, guitar in hand. The “You” singer later hit the stage to debut his new music that he said is infused with love.

“Panda” rapper Desiigner was the life of the party (per usual), flashing a blinged-out smile while he talked to the press.

After making his rounds in front of the camera, he brought his rambunctious energy to the forefront, where he rocked the crowd with an energetic performance of his hits. He even taught his signature, under-the-leg, mic-throw move (you’ll just have to wait for the video).

Prolific rapper Kendrick Lamar hit the stage to express his appreciation for the Radio One family.

“2012, man, y’all been rocking with me for a long time. My first motherf*cking single ‘Swimming Pools,’” the Compton native said. “I’ll always support New York City, I’ll always support Radio one.”

Songstress Sevyn Streeter put her best foot forward in a pair of killer denim knee-high boots. In addition to working on new music, the “Prolly” singer will make her acting debut alongside former 106 & Park host Julissa Bermudez in the original TV movie Ringside.

One of the night’s biggest highlights came when Fantasia slayed the red carpet in this badass black blazer-and-pant ensemble:

Cardi B, whose mixtape, Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 1, continues to serve as theme music to her fans’ lifestyles, kept us entertained as she introduced Luke Nasty in a very Cardi B way:

But, like all good things, #Blitz2016 came to an end around 10 p.m. In addition to an array of new music, guests were treated to Silk Elements gift bags upon exit.

Until next year …
