College Students Stage ‘Die-In’ Over Ferguson Decision At Several Campuses (PHOTOS)

Students at several college campuses staged a “die-in” as they returned to class this week. The die-ins happened in protest of the decision not to charge Ferguson Officer Darren Wilson in the death of Michael Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old. Students tweeted images of the die-in with the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter. At Penn State University, around 80 students participated in the demonstration, according to the Daily Collegian, the student newspaper. The die-ins happened in protest of the decision not to charge Ferguson Officer Darren Wilson in the death of Michael Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old. Students tweeted images of the die-in with the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter.

At Penn State University, around 80 students participated in the demonstration, according to the Daily Collegian, the student newspaper. Many wore black clothes and laid on top of each other in the HUB, a dining center at the school.

Roughly 100 New Jersey City University students held a similar demonstration outside for four and a half minutes, according to The Jersey Journal. The time spent on the ground was meant to represent how long Brown’s body lay in street after he was shot. Dozens of students did the same at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, at Louisiana State Universty and at Boston University on Monday, as well as Brown University in Rhode Island and Washington University of St. Louis:
