DETROIT (AP) — A man charged with carjacking is seeking more than $1 million in a lawsuit against police officers who are seen on video kicking and beating him. Andrew Jackson Jr. says he suffered injuries as well as emotional distress during the arrest in Detroit on Jan. 12. His lawsuit was moved to federal court Monday from Wayne County court. Jackson was arrested by officers assigned to a regional auto-theft unit. A video made by a woman inside her home and shown by WXYZ-TV (http://bit.ly/1J55P8c ) shows him being kicked and beaten by officers from Grosse Pointe Park and Highland Park.
