The Beyhive lit up with excitement on Jan. 26 when CBS aired a promo for the 67th annual Grammy Awards confirming that the queen Beyoncé would be attending the event. It’s unclear if she’s set to perform, but buzz about the Houston-bred’s star’s attendance had fans talking up a storm.
According to Billboard, Beyoncé leads the nominations for the 67th annual Grammy Awards with 11 nods, ahead of Taylor Swift, who has 6. The two powerhouse artists are vying for top honors, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. Beyoncé is aiming for her first win in the Album of the Year category after four previous losses, while Swift has a chance at securing a fifth win in the highly esteemed category.
According to Power 105.1, Beyoncé has earned multiple Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Country Song for her hit track “Texas Hold ‘Em” from the critically acclaimed album Cowboy Carter. The album itself is up for Album of the Year and Best Country Album, with several songs from the project competing in various categories.
Beyoncé received recognition in the Best Pop Solo Performance category for “Bodyguard” and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration with Post Malone on “Levi’s Jeans.” Her track “Spaghetti,” featuring Linda Martell and Shaboozey, earned a nod for Best Melodic Rap Performance. Additionally, Beyoncé is nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for “16 Carriages,” Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Most Wanted” with Miley Cyrus, and Best Americana Performance for “Ya Ya.”
If Beyoncé graces the stage at the Grammys, it would be a treat for fans, as her last performance at the event was in 2017, where she delivered an unforgettable rendition of “Love Drought” and “Sandcastles” from her acclaimed Lemonade album. If she opts out of performing, viewers can still look forward to electrifying sets from stars like Doechii, Sabrina Carpenter, and Billie Eilish, as reported by Billboard.
The 67th Annual Grammy Awards will be hosted by Trevor Noah and air on CBS Sunday, Feb. 2, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. Will you be watching?
