March 17 was a regular day at work for Brooklyn mailman Glenn Grays, 27, until he was almost hit by an unmarked police car carrying unclothes NYPD officers. Grays apparently didn’t realize the men were cops and allegedly mouthed off at them, according to Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.

A passerby quickly pulled out their cell phone to record the incident as it was happening.

After the cops jumped out of their vehicle, they demanded Grays’ identification, which he told them was in the USPS truck.

“My ID’s right there on the side of the truck,” Grays said

“Let’s go get your ID,” an officer said.

Grays told the officer that he had mail to deliver, and that’s when they began to handcuff him.

It was then, from the video, you can see the officers manhandling Gray, and saying he was resisting arrest.

People in the background can be heard saying “lawsuit, lawsuit, man”.

Grays told the officer that he wasn’t resisting, but the officer insisted he was.

Adams said the incident  “could have been another Eric Garner situation,” in a press conference held on Tuesday with Grays and his mother.

During the press conference Grays was in tears, as Adams called for an NYPD investigation and he doesn’t want the officers involved working the streets of Brooklyn without their uniform.

Although Grays was arrested, he was not charged with a crime, but Adams says he was still issued a court summons.

A NYPD spokesperson said the incident is currently under review.
