Newly released video shows an armed man in a parking lot, shortly before St. Louis County Police says he shot at police officers. The footage, released Tuesday by the police department, was shot on Sunday, the one-year anniversary of Michael Brown’s killing in Ferguson, Missouri.

Though police previously accused Tyrone Harris, 18, of shooting at cops in Ferguson, the 13-second clip shows a man identified by police as Harris brandishing a weapon, but not firing it. Harris, who was critically wounded in the later altercation with police, seems to grab a gun soon after shots are fired somewhere else in the vicinity, but the footage does not show him using the weapon.

The video, taken by an insurance company’s security camera, “shows Harris grab a handgun out of his waistband once shots are fired during the protest in the W. Florissant corridor seconds prior to the officer involved shooting,” according to the statement from St. Louis County Police Officer Shawn McGuire that was released along with the video.

;

Reached for further comment, McGuire told HuffPost that the department maintains Harris fired at police later. At this time, he said, they do not have video footage of Harris shooting at police officers or getting wounded when police shot at him in retaliation.

;

St. Louis County Police previously said that Harris had fired at an unmarked police vehicle carrying plainclothes officers. Police chased him, and claim he then shot at them again. He was critically wounded when four officers returned fire. ;

On Monday morning, the department tweeted photos of a vehicle riddled with bullets.

Harris has been charged with 10 felonies, including ;first-degree assault on a law enforcement officer and armed criminal action.

Large demonstrations took place in Ferguson on Sunday to commemorate the death of Brown, who was fatally shot by a white police officer. ;St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said on Monday that his office believes as many as six people shot at officers on Sunday night.
