Bummed that you didn’t win Wednesday’s massive Powerball drawing?

That single mom Marie Holmes captured an estimated $188 million share of the jackpot might make you feel better about it.

Holmes, a 26-year-old from Shallotte, North Carolina, has four kids, one of whom has cerebral palsy, Fox 8 reported. She recently had to quit her jobs at McDonald’s and Walmart to take care of them.

“Everything is all for them,” she said. “All the struggle that I ever went through, it was all for them. I want them to understand that money doesn’t change you, but it can help you. So they don’t have to worry about debt, none of that. They can go to college, all on me.”

One of three Powerball winners to share the $564,000,000 total jackpot, Holmes told outlets she would use the money first to donate to her church, buy a house and set up college funds for her children. She said she was ready to embrace the change in her life and was grateful for her turn of fortune.

“I don’t think it’s really hit me,” she told Fox 8 in the segment above. “I guess when it hits my account is when it’s really going to hit me, but I’m thankful that I can bless my kids with something that I didn’t have.”

Holmes purchased her winning ticket at a gas station convenience store. When the numbers in Wednesday’s drawing were announced, “I thought I was going to have a heart attack when I saw the ticket and checked it,” she told WECT.

NBC noted that Holmes’ windfall would be worth $188 million distributed over 30 years, or $127 million in a lump sum.
