Comedian Steve Harvey is known for his jokes, but after a recent “Family Fued” taping, the host shared some serious, importing advice about chasing your dreams.
He posted a footage of his sermon to Twitter on Wednesday.
“I’m going to share something with you that every successful person has to do, including you, believe it or not. Every successful person in this world has jumped. Eventually, you are going to have to jump. You cannot just exist in this life. You have got to try to live. If you are waking up thinking that it’s gotta be more to your life than it is, man, believe that it is.”
Harvey said the only way to really live the life you want is to identify your gift and go after it or “jump.” He warns of challenges you’ll face when you first jump, but said eventually, you’ll soar. However, playing it safe and being still is a guaranteed way to prevent you from soaring.
“Before you leave this world, before you die, jump. Just jump one time,” he urged the crowd.
