Residents in a Jackson, Miss. neighborhood awoke on Monday to discover fliers advertising a KKK neighborhood watch in the area to help provide protection.

However, according to WAPT, residents are saying they are not interested.

The fliers, which offer a “24/7 hotline,” read “The law abiding citizens of your community can sleep in peace knowing the Klan is awake!”

When the news station reached out to the number on the hotline, an individual identifying himself as a KKK Grand Dragon, told them that they were there to offer protection to the neighborhood.

“We are here wanting to protect the Christian values of what is left of white America,” he told the reporter. “If an individual is having trouble in his neighborhood…Say he’s having trouble in a Latino neighborhood or of the African Americans in his community…We will look into it.”

However, residents are not impressed with the outreach.

“We don’t need your protection, it’s not asked for and it’s not necessary,” Vijay Shah said. “They’re imposing themselves on something they have no business with.”

“We have a security patrol, armed private security officers as well as we’re looking right now at video surveillance,” Head of Bellhaven Security, John Lewis told the news station. “We stay on top of things, we try to get ahead of things. We just do the best we can. I’m not sure where he’s coming up [thinking that] we need his help.”
