Billboard.com reports that the last album with “pimp” in the title that charted was Pimp C’s “Pimpalation,” which hit No. 3 in 2006. Lamar saw the year’s second-highest debut to date, behind Drake’s surprise mixtape, “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late,” which sold 495,000.
