Joanne Froggatt won Best Supporting Actress In A Series, Mini-Series Or TV Movie at the Golden Globes for her role in “Downton Abbey.” This is Froggatt’s first nomination and Golden Globe trophy. She plays the role of Anna Bates, the head housemaid on “Downton Abbey.” In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in June of 2014, Froggatt discussed her character being right in the middle of the show’s darkest plot-line, saying, “I’m quite honored, actually. Jacqueline Bisset won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress In A Series, Mini-Series Or TV Movie in 2014 for her performance in “Dancing on the Edge.”
