The 2016 presidential contest chugged along this Saturday with primaries or caucuses in five states.
On the Democratic side, Sen. Bernie Sanders won caucuses in Kansas and Nebraska, while Hillary Clinton scored a decisive victory in Louisiana, the state with the most delegates up for grabs, holding on to what the New York Times calls “a significant delegate lead.”
Clinton and Sanders spoke at the same event in Detroit, where they came within inches of each other but did not speak.
From the stage Clinton said, “I’m grateful to everyone who turned out,” but said “all eyes” now turn to Michigan, where a big prize primary will be held on Tuesday, reports NBC News.

Clinton and Sanders will debate tonight in Flint, Mich.
In the Republican race, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz won in Kansas and Maine, where Donald Trump finished second in those states. Cruz closely trailed Trump in the Louisiana primary and Kentucky caucus but the New York businessman clinched the wins there.
Marco Rubio and John Kasich finished well behind the two winners in today’s contests.
Both Trump and Cruz have called for Rubio to drop out of the race with Trump being the most vocal.
“I think it’s time now that he drop out of the race,” Trump said of Rubio, who has won just one contest to date.
Rubio campaign spokesman Alex Conant clapped back saying Trump is afraid of Rubio in Florida.
“Trump knows that Marco has the momentum in Florida and is afraid because he knows losing those 99 delegates to Marco will be a turning point in this race,” Conant said to NBC News.
