In a newly unsealed deposition filed in a case involving seven women suing Bill Cosby for defamation, Cosby’s wife of more than 50 years, Camille Cosby, repeatedly says she has “no opinion” on everything from her husband’s extramarital affairs, to his admitted procurement of Quaaludes for women.
MSNBC reports that the full transcript of the six-hour Feb. 22 deposition filed in a Massachusetts federal court was released on Friday. Bill Cosby has counter-sued the seven women who filed suit, also alleging defamation.
Described by the New York Daily News as “combative,” Camille Cosby vowed under oath that she never personally obtained Quaaludes, saw them in her home or saw Cosby give the drugs to anyone.
Cosby previously admitted in a 2006 deposition that he obtained the powerful sedatives to give them to women he found wanted to have sex with.
Camille also had no opinion on Cosby’s alleged love child, Autumn Jackson, to whom he paid $100,000 between 1974 and 1994.
“I do not have an opinion,” she said over and over, according to the News.
MSNBC says that when she was asked about honesty and what it means, she answered: “I’m not going to expound on this.” When she was told she had to, she answered: “I do not have to. I’m done.”
More than 50 women have publicly alleged sexual misconduct and assault against Bill Cosby, going back to the 1960s.
