Bow down to Beyoncé. At Sunday night’s Grammys, Beyoncé helped introduce Common and John Legend’s performance of “Glory” from the movie “Selma” by singing “Take My Hand, Precious Lord.” The gospel song appears in Ava DuVernay’s film about Martin Luther King Jr. and was reportedly one of the civil rights leader’s favorites. It’s also one of Beyoncé’s favorites: As Gwyneth Paltrow said before the performance, Beyoncé first heard the song when her mother sang it.

Beyoncé dressed in white for the performance, and was backed by a group of men, who also wore white. “Thank you, guys,” Beyoncé said after completing the song.

Before the ceremony, Common spoke about having Beyoncé participate in the performance. “That’s a whole other level, to have her singing ‘Precious Lord,'” he told Rolling Stone. “I’m excited.”

“Glory” was not nominated for any Grammys this year, but the song has become an awards-season sensation. Common and John Legend won Best Original Song at the Golden Globes in January. The two men were also rewarded with an Oscar nomination in the same category. It’s expected “Glory” will win Best Original Song at the Academy Awards later this month.

Beyoncé was tied with Pharrell and Sam Smith for the most nominations at this year’s Grammys. She won three awards on the night. Last year, she started the show with a performance of “Drunk in Love” with her husband, Jay Z.
